Eine hervorragende Beurteilung für die niedrige Umweltbelastung seiner Produktlinien hat einer der führenden PVC-Bodenbelagshersteller – die Gerflor S.A. - erhalten. Damit wird auch Gerflors Behauptung, dass PVC-Bodenbeläge ebenso ökologisch einwandfrei wie natürlich sind, unterstützt und auf eindrucksvolle Weise bestätigt.

Die unabhängige britische Institution „Building Research Establishment“ (BRE), Teil einer Non-Profit-Stiftung, die die Bauindustrie repräsentiert, hat Gerflors Produkt Mipolam auf ihrer Bewertungsskala von A+ bis E ein A verliehen.
Hazel Cook, Marketing Manager bei Gerflor, sagte: „ Die A-Note zeigt ein für alle Mal, dass PVC ein ähnliches Umweltprofil hat wie andere Bodenbeläge, einschließlich Linoleum und Gummi.“ Die Beurteilung der Produkte beruht auf deren Wiederverwertbarkeit, dem Umwelteinfluss sowie der CO2-Emissionsrate.

Gerflor wies darauf hin, dass der niedrige Energie- und Wasserverbrauch weitere große Pluspunkte für Mipolam seien. „Gerflor ist ein sozial verantwortungsvoller Produzent und nimmt diese Verpflichtung sehr ernst“, betonte Cook.

Sämtliche Gerflor-Produkte sind zu 100 Prozent wiederverwertbar und alle Produktionsstätten sind nach DIN ISO 14001 gemäß Umweltmanagement Systemstandard zertifiziert.

Gerflor vinyl wins top environmental rating

Gerflor S.A., one of the leading manufacturers of vinyl flooring, has received a top rating for the low environmental impact for one of its ranges, backing its claim that vinyl flooring is as ecologically sound as natural alternatives.
The independent British Building Research Establishment (BRE), part of a not- for-profit trust representing the construction industry, awarded Gerflor an A rating for its Mipolam range on a scale that runs from A+ to E.
Hazel Cook, contract marketing manager at Gerflor, said: “The A rating once and for all demonstrates that vinyl has a similar environmental profile as other flooring materials, including linoleum and rubber.� The rating is based on recyclability, energy use, environmental impact and carbon emission levels.

Gerflor said that low energy and water consumption were also major plus points for Mipolam. “Gerflor is a socially responsible manufacturer and takes this commitment very seriously,� said Cook.

All Gerflor products are 100 percent recyclable and every product site is certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Standard.
