Die schweizerische Arbeitsgruppe „eco-devis“ präsentierte die neue Ausgabe des „eco-devis NPK 371 Fenster“. Darin werden moderne PVC-Profile (Uf = 1.1 W/m2K, CaZn-Stabilisierung) zusammen mit Holzrahmen in der besten Stufe als „ökologisch interessant“ eingeordnet. Beide Rahmenmaterialien rangieren damit vor Holz-Metall-Systemen, die weiterhin in der zweiten Stufe als „ökologisch bedingt interessant“ klassiert bleiben. Ebenfalls in der zweiten Stufe rangieren nicht CaZn-stabilisierte (Uf = 1.1 W/m2K), als auch CaZn-stabilisierte (Uf = 1.2 – 1.3 W/m2K) PVC-Profile.

Unter Berücksichtigung der Tatsache, dass noch im Jahre 2000 PVC-Profile im „eco-devis“ nicht beachtet und somit im Zusammenhang mit ökologischem Bauen nicht empfohlen wurden, darf die jetzt erreichte Topklassierung als sachgerechte Bewertung der PVC-Profile angesehen werden, die auch dem Ergebnis der  wissenschaftlichen Ökobilanzen zu Fenstermaterialien entspricht

Swiss “eco-devis� Windows: Top Classification for Modern PVC Profiles

The Swiss working group "eco-devis� presented the new edition of “eco-devis NPK 371 Windows�. In it, modern PVC profiles (Uf = 1.1 W/m2K, CaZn stabilisation) are classified in the best category as “of ecological interest� together with wooden frames. Both frame materials are thus ahead of wood-metal systems, which remain classified in the second category as “of limited ecological interest�. Non-CaZn-stabilised (Uf = 1.1 W/m2K) and CaZn-stabilised (Uf = 1.2 – 1.3 W/m2K) PVC profiles are also in the second category.

Taking account of the fact that as recently as 2000 PVC profiles were not considered in the “eco-devis� and were thus not recommended in association with ecological building, the top classification now reached should be viewed as an objective assessment of PVC profiles that also corresponds to the result of the scientific eco-audits on window materials.
