Der aktuelle Fortschrittsbericht zum Nachhaltigkeitsprogramm der europäischen PVC-Industrie „VINYL 2010“ liegt jetzt auf deutsch vor. Er stellt die bis Ende 2006 erreichten Ergebnisse des auf zehn Jahre angelegten Programms dar, mit dem PVC in konkreten Schritten nachhaltiger gemacht wird. Erfreulichstes Ergebnis des neuen Fortschrittsberichtes ist die drastische Steigerung der Verwertungsmengen: Nach 18.077 Tonnen im Jahr 2004, stieg die Menge im Jahr 2005 auf 38.793 Tonnen und verdoppelte sich abermals im vergangenen Jahr auf insgesamt 82.812 Tonnen.
Die Chancen stehen gut, neben anderen Zielen, im Jahr 2010 beispielsweise bei Rohren und Fenstern eine Verwertungsquote von 75 Prozent zu erreichen sowie insgesamt eine zusätzlichen Verwertungsmenge von 200.000 Tonnen.

Vinyl 2010 Progress Report 2007

The current Progress Report on the sustainability programme of the European PVC industry, “VINYL 2010� is now available in German. It outlines the results achieved by the end of 2006 in the 10-year programme designed to make PVC more sustainable in specific stages. The most pleasing result of the new Progress Report is the drastic increase in the quantities recovered: after 18,077 tonnes in 2004, the quantity rose to 38,793 tonnes in 2005 and doubled again last year to a total of 82,812 tonnes.

For example, the prospects are good for achieving, among other things, a recovery rate of 75 per cent for pipes and windows by 2010 and to achieve a total additional recovery quantity of 200,000 tonnes “post-consumer PVC waste" in comparison to recovery in the year 2000.
