So umweltschonend das Fortbewegungsmittel, so umweltfreundlich sollte auch der Stellplatz sein. Das war die Grundidee der Produktentwickler der CABKA GmbH aus Weira. Ihre Lösung: Ein Fahrradständer hergestellt aus PVC-Recyclat.

Dieser Parkplatz für den Drahtesel schont jedoch nicht nur die Umwelt. Die bewährten werkstofflichen Eigenschaften des PVC machen ihn auch fitt für die Praxis. Nahezu unverwüstlich hält der Stellplatz auch über Jahre Wind und Wetter stand und ist resistent gegen Streusalz oder Öl. Aufgrund des hohen Eigengewichts benötigt er kein Fundament und ist zudem sehr leicht montierbar.

Auch an Pflege und Sicherheit des geliebten Zweirads haben die Erfinder aus Thüringen gedacht. Gegen Langfinger schützen eigens angebrachte Eisenringe, die weiche Oberfläche des PVC-Recyclingprodukts schont Reifen und Felgen.

Recycled Products in the Shop Window: A Secure Hold - Bike Stands Made of PVC Recyclate

27 March 2009 – An environmentally friendly means of transport needs an equally environmentally friendly parking place. That was the basic idea of the product developers at CABKA GmbH in Weira. Their solution: a bike stand made of PVC recyclate.

But this parking place for bikes is not only kind to the environment. The tried and tested material properties of PVC also mean that it is fit for purpose. The parking place is practically indestructible, withstanding wind and rain for many years and is resistant to salt and oil. Because of its own substantial weight it doesn’t need any foundation and is also very easy to assemble.

The Thuringian inventors have also thought about maintenance and security. Specially attached iron rings protect against light-fingered thieves, and the soft surface of the recycled PVC product is kind to tyres and wheel rims.
